Subscription Terms
Background
These Subscription Terms, together with all referenced documents, set out the terms under which Thermy Services, accessed via subscriptions, are sold by Thermy Ltd.
You must read and accept these Terms before purchasing a subscription through thermy.co.uk or the Thermy App.
1. Definitions
“Boiler” – your heating system including but not limited to the boiler forming part of this system.
“Contract” – the agreement formed upon our acceptance of your subscription order.
“Subscription” – your paid access to Thermy Service.
“Thermy Devices” – the hub and thermometer units installed as part of the Thermy system.
“Thermy Service” – our connected heating control and monitoring service.
“We/Us/Our” – Thermy Ltd.

3. Eligibility
Subscriptions may only be purchased by individuals aged 18 or over and for personal (non-business) use.
4. Subscriptions and Pricing
- Subscriptions last 12 months and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Prices may change on renewal, with advance notice.
- Thermy Devices are loaned to you as part of the service and remain our property.
- Devices must be returned if the contract ends.
- You are responsible for safe return; if unreturned, a replacement fee (typically £50 per device) may apply.
5. Orders and Confirmation
- Placing an order constitutes an offer; acceptance occurs when you receive a Subscription Confirmation email.
- The confirmation will include your Subscription ID, details, duration, and total price.
6. Payment
- Payment is required in advance.
- Accepted payment methods: credit/debit card (via Stripe), Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
- If payment is not received within 5 days of notice, your subscription may be suspended or cancelled.
7. Provision of Service
The Thermy Service is available immediately upon confirmation.
By accessing the service, you acknowledge that you lose your legal right to the 14-day cooling-off period once the service begins.
We may temporarily suspend service for maintenance or legal reasons, with notice where possible.
If suspension exceeds 30 days, you may cancel and receive a partial refund.
8. Licence
You receive a limited, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence to use the Thermy Service for personal use.
You may not copy, resell, or broadcast the Thermy Service or its software.
9. Problems and Repairs
We must provide services of satisfactory quality.
If Thermy Service or Devices are faulty:
- We will repair or replace them.
- If we cannot fix the issue promptly, you may be entitled to a full or partial refund.
10. Cancelling Your Subscription
- You may cancel within 14 days of confirmation unless you have accessed the service.
- After that, you can cancel any time; your subscription will continue until the end of the current period.
- We may also cancel at our discretion with notice, issuing a partial refund where appropriate.
- You may also terminate with 30 days’ notice at the end of a subscription period.
11. Other Rights to End the Contract
You may end the contract if:
- We make a major change you don’t agree with.
- The service is unavailable for 30+ days.
- A significant delay or error occurs.
Refunds are issued within 14 days using the original payment method.
12. Our Liability
- We’re responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our negligence or breach.
- We’re not liable for business loss, loss of profit, or indirect damage.
- If Thermy causes damage to your property through our fault, we’ll repair it or compensate appropriately.
- Maximum aggregate liability: £1,000 or the total subscription fees paid, whichever is lower.
- Nothing limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

15. Law and Jurisdiction
